100th Entry

This is my 100th entry in my weblog. It took me 11 months to get this far, which is about 1 entry every 3 days. That is about the right pace, I think. It also serves as a good title for this entry, as there is no connecting thread to the notes I am about to post.

I have more pictures posted. One from a recent party (for families) we went to, and another just the regular monthly posting of pictures.

June will be a busy month. Professionally, it starts our first time supporting the systems we've been trying to learn over the past three months. I'm not too worried, but it is the first time we are official. Up to now, we've had the luxury of knowing it's not really our responsibility yet. Now it is, and so there will be a little extra pressure and scrutiny.

We will also soon be going to Donna's family reunion (the "Roden Family Reunion") up in Glenrose, Texas. It's a bit of a drive, so it will take some doing to take the twins there. I should be able to post some pictures from that event so you can see how much fun we had.

Later in the month, we'll also be driving to Delaware to attend my sister's wedding. This is a really big deal, not just because I'm really looking forward to Rebecca's wedding, but also because it will be the first of the annual Reid Family Car Trips. Donna and I both took long car trips with our families, and we want to do the same with our new family. We'll take it nice and slow, planning for a four-day road trip each way. That should be fine, even with 2 two-and-a-half-year-olds.

The wedding itself should be quite nice. The groom and his family are really fantastic, and it's apparent how happy Brian and Rebecca are together. The wedding will be held at the school Rebecca went to for 14 years (and I went to for 6): Sanford School. There is a picturesque valley there with a small church. The wedding will be outside (let's hope for good weather!), but it makes for a pretty backdrop for a ceremony. I will be a groomsman, my wife will be a bridesmaid (bridesmatron?), and my daughters will be the flower girls. I know I'll have lots of pictures that I will be very eager to post as soon as we get back.
